The Differences Between SF6 Circuit Breakers and SF6 Load Switches

The differences between SF6 circuit breakers and SF6 load switches are as follows:

1. Structure
SF6 circuit breaker: SF6 circuit breaker structure is mainly porcelain column structure, tank structure.

SF6 load switch: SF6 load switch structure mainly includes arc extinguishing device. And SF6 gas is used as insulation and arc extinguishing medium.

2. Characteristics
SF6 Circuit breaker: SF6 circuit breaker has the characteristics of blocking effect, long electrical life, high insulation level, good sealing performance, self-protection and low operating power.

SF6 load switch: SF6 load switch has the characteristics of long electric life, strong breaking force, realizing three working bits, small current breaking and strong ability to resist harsh environmental conditions.

3. Applications
SF6 Circuit breaker: SF6 circuit breakers have been widely used in ultra-high voltage and large capacity power systems.

SF6 load switch: SF6 load switch can be used to switch on and off load current and overload current, also used to switch on and off no-load lines, no-load transformers and capacitor banks.
